python api

Hi, 

I am trying to read XL2 SPL measurements via usb, but only ECHO command acually returns something, all other commands return just blank.


I used the skeleton code from XL2 Remote Measurement Reference Manual (https://www.nti-audio.com/Portals/0/data/en/XL2-Remote-Measurement-Manual.pdf).


I tried it on windows 10 as well as on raspbian stretch. I am using python 2.7.


Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Nejc,


does your XL2 have a "Remote Measurement" option installed? If not, the XL2 will react only on a very limited set of commands  like “ECHO” or “*IDN?”

Thank you Gregor, I received XL2 from a customer and wasn't aware this was a seperate option.
