I have a Neutrik A2 that is not working properly: Lots of noise coming from the speaker when test leads are plug in or unplugged, the unit goes into W&F mode randomly, when the volume knob is rotated to clockwise the display flickers. I also get messages randomly at boot up. The messages say: "Switch 3 was activated at boot up", or " Switch 16 was activated at boot up".

When I opened the unit I noticed that the circuit boards have lots of test points but they are not marked to show what signal should appear at those points. I have a user manual and schematic diagram but they too does not show any information about the test points. The manual does not show the meaning of the Boot up messages either. 

Does anyone have a diagram for the Neutrik A2 that shows the Test Points information and signal flow? I think this would be an Oscillogram diagram, not quite sure if that is correct.

I'm looking for the software package AS03 for the Neutrik A2 Audio Test & Service System. Our system has installed the RS-232C interface, but the disk with the software is lost. Also, I'm interested in the implemented AMSL language and I don't know if there is any documentation about it. Otherwise, if there is any documentation about the communication commands for the serial interface, it would be very helpful.

Unfortunately the software you provided me is a new version, AS04, which need a new firmware on A2. Is there any hope for the AS03 version of communication software.

Thank you very much for the software. I managed to run it with an emulator, the "DosBox". I had some problems with the stability of the serial connection. After a while, the A2 stops responding to the AS03 messages. Because when AS03 sends RESET, the A2 resets, I suppose that the problem is with my USBtoRS232 adapter (with a not original Prolific 2303 chip) and its driver, on Windows 11. I managed to stabilize the connection with an older driver version, on a Windows 7 machine. I tried a lot of parameter combinations, over the driver and over the connection, with no results on Windows 11. Now, I do a lot of measurements with only little problems of losing the connection.

Anyway, the AS03 software is great, for the age it was developed, and even more. I suppose it is written in Borland Turbo Pascal, with the Turbo Vision libraries. Also, the implemented script language, AMSL, is very useful and easy (reminds me of my old BASIC times and the ANSYS APDL language).

The reason I want to revive our old A2 is for educational purposes. Even if it is not critical for our work, and after the successful use of the AS03 software, I would like to ask you if it is possible to upgrade the firmware in the EEPROM of our analyzer, with a corresponding update software, through its serial port. Our analyzer has the version 1.03, and its serial number is 134.
